I have a MyCollections account with a large number of entries. I keep it on my iphone and on my microsoft surface pro.

Tonight i was trying to sync and i tried to force my laptop to accept my data from my phone but now i have lost the data on the laptop.

I am afraid if i sync the phone it too will assume that the data needs to be delated

what is my course of action to safely restore my collection to the laptop?

I am thinking I should delete the entire app (on the laptop) and start over with a new download of data but how do i protect my data on the phone?

I really need help here.I have several hundred hours of work in thisa project.

So I may have figured it out but I want someone to verify this solution before i try it.

Go to my phone (currently good data) and select OVER WRITE ALL and then connect to the cloud

Then after that successfully up;oads go to my laptop (current;ly bad data) and select RELOAD ALL

Will that fix this??

Well now as I try to "Overwrite All" from my phone to the cloud i get this error message

Error connecting to MyCollections Cloud during saving records and fields, error location 6
Please make sure you have internet access and try again.

I have interent access. We are in the country so its not super fast but I am currently at 19 M download and about 0.8 M upload.

Do I need to find a faster connection to facilitate this operation?

I would suggest to reinstall the app on the laptop and synchronize with a fast WiFi/Internet connection again.

OK now I need help from a Altova tech. I am willing to pay.

I tried (again) to OVER WRITE ALL to the cloud with my good data on my phone.

Even though I had a strong wifi connection and a full battery it failed three more times (same error message)

I thought maybe if I "sign out" and sign back in it may work.

When it signed back in it AUTOMATICALLY SYNCED with the cloud over writing all my good data on my phone with BAD DATA


I think I need support from Altova to restore my deleted data from two days ago .

So how does this work if I need someone to un-do a deletion on the altova cloud? I was backing up to the cloud every entry or two right up until things went wrong and I accidentally deleted the collection. Surely it must be recoverable. Do i fill out a support form? Call a number and pay a fee? Wait for an email from someone?

I love MyCollections and have been actively promoting it in the soda bottle collecting community but I will be disappointed if I have to start over and re-input 947 entries (probably 100 man hours minimum).

I am hoping spomeone from Altova or MyCollections that can help me responds to my request before I start rebuilding it.

Date of a safe cloud back up (any of the ones from 5/3/25

The database is also "published" on a MyCollections URL that currently still has all the data.
