We are going on our 4th year of MobileTogether Server and each time I have renewed the license, the server ends up down the night the license expires until I "magically" fix it the next morning. Usually there is an upgrade to the MobileTogether app as well so I do the upgrade first and then install the license. My steps to renew the license are as follows:
1. Copy the new license file from Altova email to the LicenseServer. (The LicenseServer and MobileTogether Server are the same). 2. Open the LicenseServer configuration by right clicking the icon in the systray and selecting "Altova LicenseServer (ver)" and Configure. This opens in the browser after I enter the password. 3. On the License Pool tab I clcik the "Choose Files" button and navigate to the file I copied to the desktop. It shows in the list and ultimately has a status of "Pending" I think, but not 100% sure. The old license remains in "Active Status". I'm assuming this is because the date hasn't reached the Start Date for the new license and the End Date for the old License. 4. On the day the license expired, the new license showed "Active" and the old license was something else like "Inactive", again I don't recall 100%.
After these steps, the problem is the MobileTogether server ends up showing a message "Server: License is invalid! Please inform your administrator." On the mobile application. I then panic and try all sorts of fixes like restarting the server, re-aquiring the license on the MobileTogether server, etc. This last time, the one that fixed it was to delete the license on the LicenseServer that I installed using the "Choose Files" button and I double clicked the licence file that I copied to the desktop. This magically registered it on the LicenseServer and somehow fixed the MobileTogether server as well. I'm just wondering if this will work correctly the NEXT time I need to renew the license. I usually do this a few days before the old one expires.

Hi Philip Michael.
One step seems to be missing from your description: 3a. On the Client Management tab assign the newly uploaded pending license to MT Server (in addition to the still active license).
Please let us know, if this helps.
