Hello AMT,
I have a project with a few 'input' pages, these pages have an edit field for user input. Currently, when the user opens these pages (by clicking a button on the main page) they have to click in the edit field to begin editing. Is it possible to automatically select the first edit field on page load? My goal is to make it possible for the user to start typing immediately.

Hi,
if a page has an editable input field, then it is normally automatically entered for editing. What platform are you running on? Can you send us your sample so that we can reproduce your issue.

I'm running in the simulator, perhaps that has something to do with it. My sample project is attached.

Hold on, can you try on a real client. This should immediately solve your problem
Just tried out on Android client - everything works like you expect it.

I don't think I'm currently able to run on a real client as I am just evaluating the designer and have no server running.

You don't need a server to simulate on client. I did it with the "Trial Run on client" functionality within the Designer itself. See documentation for details

When I 'Trail run on client' and open the project in a web browser the input is not selected. I have to press 'Tab' before that happens. This is fine if you have a keyboard attached, however this is not going to be the case for most end-users.

We have discussed this internally, and it seems like only Android platform preselects edit field, which is a default behavior on this platform, and other platforms don't
It is indeed currently not possible to start with an edit field on other platforms immediately, you will have to ask user to click into the first field
