Is there a map control I can insert either a Apple or Google Map and then bind a datasource to so that I can add pins on a map? If so, can you point me to some tutorials on doing this?

There is no such control, but a possibility to show in a map application installed on device a location or a route to a specified location.
See Show Geolocation command for that.
You can also track user location, if necessary.

This is currently not possible. Such control will be added in future versions

That is too bad. It does everything I need except for that. Is this control currently in development? Is it possible to pay to have this added as a custom feature?
