I have a sql table that already stores the rich text in the field, but the Rich text control does not read it? Whenever I insert that control the it shows an empty box.

if i convert it to a label you see all the RTF formatting in the field.

not sure what is going on?

The RichText control is designed for a flexible rendering of different HTML like formats. But it doesn't support RTF, which is really an old one, sorry.
